Pick Your Own Tulips At Hemingway Hill
We are planting thousands upon thousands of tulips for you to enjoy starting February 27th through the 3rd weekend in March (unless the tulips are finished earlier). The tulips have gone through a special cooling process that will help them grow in our warmer Texas climate. Come rain (tulips don’t seem to mind the rain) or shine, we will open our gates the moment we see their colorful petals.
We're located in Terrell, TX, just a short trip from Forney, Kaufman, and the greater Dallas area.
Tulips in Bloom
Tulips like to bloom the first weekend in February. The farm hours during tulip season are Thursday 10:00 to 2:00, Friday 10:00 to 5:00, Saturday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (with breakfast blooms tent open until 2:00) and Sunday 12:00 to 5:00. There will also be pre-picked bunches available and tulip and iris bulbs to order.

Planting School 2025
Do you love tulips too? Would you like to share that love with others who are equally passionate? Then join us for a very special fall activity as we plant a field of tulips. Discover tips and tricks of growing commercial grade tulips, learn about soil care, and take home some of our special cooled tulip bulbs. We have limited space for this hands-on agricultural experience.
Classes will be held on Saturday November 8th, 2025. Lunch is provided as well as a complementary t-shirt and your choice of a bag of tulip bulbs specially cooled and prepared for your own garden bed. You will have an opportunity to plant two kinds of tulips in the field and attend an educational course. Got questions? We Sell Tulips
Our tulip bulbs undergo a special cooling process to ensure they bloom successfully for you from February through March. Each year we take a limited number of orders for these special tulip bulbs.
Well sell tulips on the farm during tulip season, along with a wide variety of unique Irises and Daffodils.
